Good morning. I recently got my circa 1958 250 Locomotive and 205 diesel out of the basement after coming across a box of tracks and a 1803000 hobby transformer with speed controller. I got both engines working after some TLC. After several days, the speed controller stopped working in mid use. I inspected the track and found no shorts. I took the controller apart and saw a circuit board with nothing I could evaluate. 
It shows a constant green light. Any ideas? I forgot to mention, the box also included a 8632 locomotive and tender. It doesn't work either...By the way, your forum is fantastic and my love for Lionel trains has been renewed!
