Folks,

after watching the wonderful DVD (Rare Brass by Gary Schrader), I was wondering how Gary installed his Tsunami DCC sound system in his articulated engines, equipped with two electric motors. From what he explains in his DVD, each tractive set of his articulated steam engine is independent, causing obviously some out-of-sync effects. The DVD let you hear the change in synchronicity of the steam engine and that is pretty cool.

The Tsunami sound synthesizer is driven by a switch (cam probably) installed on each of the tractive set of wheels. Since you have two cams feeding the Tsunami, would you use an OR gate (or two diodes) to drive the decoder?

I'd like people who have done this to elaborate a little bit. Perhaps Gary can chime in and give us some of his secrets.

Thanks in advance.

Yves
