I am running my conventional Lionel train on 0-gauge tubular track.   I have created small "railroad ties" out of wood and want to glue them to the bottom of the tubular track.

My question:  Will gluing the wood "railroad ties" to the bottom of the track interfere with the electrical power for the train??

I do not have the  track layout on a train board, it is currently on the carpet in the downstairs;  I am planning to re-assemble the layout for Christmas (around the tree), dis-assemble after, that is why I want to glue the ties to the bottom of the track.

Your thoughts and any advice are greatly appreciated --

Setting up a TMCC layout with my post-war conventional locomotive/tender so as to have remote control; replacing my old TW 175 Watt transformer with a 180 Watt PowerHouse.

I understand I need to now install some sort of Track Power Control (TPC), either a 180 Watt TMCC PowerMaster, or a TPC 300 (300 Watts) or TPC 400 (400 Watts)

Can someone please explain to me the advantage of using the  higher wattage TPC's??  It seems to me that the "best power match" would be using the 180 Watt PowerMaster.

Please help me understand this, thanks ---
