I have been following the sale of a O scale U 50 overland model that was originally listed some where above $600. Just like one I had bought over a decade ago with more valuable dollars for $750 and spent several hundreds painting and weathering it. I see this model is now selling for under $500. A steal for sure for a person who has the talent to paint and rework the drive train. That way it is just time and little money. I went to the dark side and now just buy plastic models as they were less expensive and now it seems just the opposite is happening. Now I am too old to learn new tricks. Good luck to whom out there that have the skills and desire to take on projects like that.
