I am having difficulty figuring out a problem I have with my UCS track on my O gauge layout. When I push the uncouple button nothing happens. When I push the Unload button, the track will uncouple. Do I have a bad controller or has someone re-wired the controller? I have 6 of these on my layout, am puzzled. Any help would be appreciated

The prewar, and postwar coil coupler cars, will uncouple(one of the two) when unload is pushed. Normal operation.
