Under layout storage ideas needed

The height will also dictate the accommodations. My height under the layout is 42”. I purchased a few movers dollies and they held two large containers on top of each other. The containers are clearly marked and easy to read (large letters). The rope makes it easy to pull forward. Lighting can also be considered. You will receive many good ideas.

I have EVERYTHING underneath in plastic storage containers and also use the rolling carts with wheels as pictured above.  Whatever you do, plan so you may clean and access everywhere easily.  Wheels are the best!  :-)

If you want to store your boxes, and you have an older house with exposed floor joists in your basement, do what I have been doing.  Rip slats of wood and secure them to the overhead floor joists, then have your boxes place there.  Might even help with noise reduction.

You'll be able to see solutions to your hearts content.  True some of them are about lighting, and a few others on creepers for navigating underneath, but most will be worthy of consideration to fit your needs.
