Hi everyone just put up some photo's of the new
Pennsy J1A. Awesome engine great sound.Great job
Lionel, Just to see if this monster of an engine would handle
054 curves can't believe it no problem at all. Went up to 120
speed steps and took the curves like a charm.Afterwards I checked the
engine for rubbing or any scratches or marks and nothing.I still will only
run it on 072 curves, but just though I would let everyone know.
THANKS ALEX

I can't believe that big engine went around 0-54. That's awesome! I did the same thing with my Lionel S-3. I have been running it on 0-42 without a problem. Have you tried the ATSF 3751 or your S-3 on 0-42? I have the 2004 version of the 3751 and haven't tried it yet.
Thanks,
Mike R
Next time I will try to run the S-3 and the Santa Fe
around the 042.
THANKS ALEX

Jeff I also love the way your layout is coming out
so keep us posted also with lots of photo's.
Jeff and RickO this engine is a gem and sounds awesome and
it runs like a fine clock. Great job by Lionel.
THANKS ALEX
is a real beauty it run's so nice, sound is incredible.
As for the layout, there's a lot of work left
and a lot of great scenes to show everyone.
Soon in the near future I will post many photo's
of this layout,it's been a work in progress for five
year's now.
THANKS AGAIN ALEX

Alex.....boy am I proud to have you as a Mid-America 3-Railer!!! Absolutely beautiful layout. Can't wait to see it in person!
Alan
Alex,
The layout looks great! There is a bit of everything in it and the transitions between scenes flow smoothly. I kept going back through each picture and kept finding something different catching my eye. Wonderful job!
Kevin
Alex, looks great. Question. Are your transformers hidden or out in the open. With the two train controls I'm thinking there's no reason to see them. I think I'll have them under the layout on a shelf with just light switches and on/off control in the open. Don
Hokey Smokes, Alex! That is one fine looking layout. I love seeing photos of other folks work- gives one possible ideas for their own pikes.
Hi guys thank you Alan, Kevin, Don, and BnO Hendo
for your kind words.
Alan looking forward to you guys coming over
Don my transformers are under the layout but I can still
see the amp and volt meters. I did this on purpose so
they are slightly hidden but showing just enough to see
the meters.
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU, ALEX
Your layout is really beautiful Alex, thank's for sharing it with us.
Thanks Mario for your kindness, you are a gentleman.
THANKS, ALEX
Alex,
Wow!!
The layout really looks great! I must have looked at those pictures 20 times. I know we talk everyday and you email me pictures of the projects your working on. BUT, HOLY SMOKE!!! Seeing all the elements together as a whole makes a big difference over seeing each area individually.
I gotta get over there soon!

Hi mike thanks for your very kind comment's
it means a lot to me. Your welcomed to come over anytime
Thanks buddy.
THANKS AGAIN, ALEX
Thanks for posting all the pictures. It must be great to have a layout that size in your own home. May I ask what the dimensions are?

Hey, Alex –
These last pictures are a nice complement to the video you posted on April 8, https://ogrforum.com/d...ent/5512461176378026
and which I enjoyed so much. Now looking at these pictures, I can admire the details better.
The green building on pictures 1070 and 1071 – why does it have signs that say “HOUSE” on both sides? Was it to remind you to put it in the proper place?
My favorite is picture 1075 – that is a beautiful shot of the street at surroundings.
Thank you for sharing!!!
Alex
Thanks Mike and Alex for your kind comment's
I appreciate it.
Mike the layout is U shaped right side is 26 ft and 11 wide across the back
is 24ft and 10 wide and the left side is 17ft and 10 wide.
Alex that green building is a bar/ resturant I'm taking the house sign's
off. I don't know why they put that there.
Wow Alex, You should be proud. Outstanding work ....
Thanks Greg for your nice comments
I appreciate it.
THANKS, ALEX
