I'm glad to hear you say that. I often travel to Cortland just to walk the hills and forests and to buy apples at Mr. Anderson's Mkt,  near Tully (and of course, some cookies at Eastside Bakery) I have wondered about making the trip to see that show in Syracuse but was never sure about its scope or particulars. Would you be so kind as to elaborate further, for myself as well as, perhaps, for Glenn's original inquiry?

Glenn, I have shopped at a model train store in Syracuse, on Erie Blvd. East, the "JR Junction Train & Hobby." It has a nice variety of trains and models, , incl. a real nice operating layout, as well as a pleasant atmosphere, IMHO.

I am manager of the store on Erie Blvd. East.  Stop in and see us!  We are open 10am-4pm on Saturdays.  If you are running late, give me a call....we'll stay open for you.

I am the registrar of the Great New York State Model Train Fair, now in it's 38th year.  Visit www.modeltrainfair.com for information about the show, including a really nice slide show of last year's event.  It's by far the largest show in New York State, and second largest "public" show in the east.

It is November 3&4, 2012 at the Empire Expo Center, Home of the Great New York State Fair.
