Those of you who use insulated rails to activate block signals and crossing flashers/gates, can you use the same insulated rail to control block signals and crossing gates? If relays are used to control block signals, can you use the same insulated rail to control muliple relays?

The short answer is yes...

One insulated section might work but do you want the crossing gates activated at the same time as the train enters the block..??? AN insulated section with in an insulated section might be the answer although the wiring can get a little tricky to keep the block occupied when the train is only in the crossing section.
Try using a time delay relay. They have them now on banggood.com
