Sorry for such an elementary question.
If I have a straight run of track, and want to create a second track running along side of it, by installing an 072 turnout in the first track, and then attaching an 072 curved section to the 072 turnout, curving back inward, so that a straight run can be attached to the inward curve, how close together will the parallel tracks be? (Measured between the outside rails that are closest together.)
Will there be enough distance so that large engines running in opposite directions won't clip each other?
