I'm using some Lionel Superflex wire for some mods, and want to shrink tube some solder joints. What size of tube should I use?

The smallest I stock is 1/16", it's worked well for #28 and 30 wiring. However, the size of the wire is all important, what's the diameter of the wire with insulation. Obviously, the tubing has to fit over that before shrinking.
1/16 will probably work... I'll take the calipers to it when I get home. I'm guessing no more than 2mm.
I use this 3/64 tubing from mouser.com in most of my repair projects (radios, amplifiers, trains)! Fairly cheap 100ft for $7.20! Description and part number :
Heat Shrink Tubing and Sleeves 3/64 100FT MINI SPL
Cheers Don
Remember - shrink tubing when heated reduces its diameter by about 50%

Or 66% for the 3:1 shrink tubing.
My Lionel Superflex measures out to 1.5mm wide... so 3/64 is gonna be a little tight! HAHA Looks like I need some good 3:1 3/16. The Mouser site is maddening! So many variables...
You will likely want something like 1/8", it'll shrink nice and tight on that wire.
