I am back from the Great Scale Model Train Show in Timonium, MD where there was a huge crowd of O Gauge fans and O gauge trains and plenty of O Gauge Railroading magazine readers. Rich would have been proud as there were plenty of people bring magazines by to compare the pages with the real thing. I had a blast.

I had my Spruce Coal & Timber layout there as part of my display with the Slaty Fork module and an all new return loop module. I shot some quick cell phone capture video that shows the mini, the Slaty Fork module and the new return module. Enjoy

Hi, Joey Brandy here, If you have the time please email me as I want to discuss our train show in the Huntington,Wva - Ashland, Ky area. When I say our/we I'm speaking of A.M.R.S., when stands for Apalacia Model Railroad Society of Huntington, Wva. I think your are one of the top five modelers that I've seen, and would like to discuss what it would take to get you to our show in Huntington and Ashland area. Yjank you in advance Eric Brandenburg.

I saw your Slaty Fork module at Timonium  last weekend. The cell phone video does not do it justice. It was spectacular.  You modeling skill, arrangement of scenery, and attention to detail is top tier.  Thanks for sharing it with us. You may want to contact TCA Eastern division. They are always looking for new layouts to display at York.

Bob

Thanks again folks,

Allen, please - by all means look into it. I would love to be part of a show in some capacity with you and (or) OGR

Brandy, I sent you an email from my tracksidescenery@gmail account.

RRDOC, thank you so much for that compliment. It means a lot to me and to be part of promoting the hobby is my number one goal. Please let me know of any details regarding that group or have them contact me. I'd love to discuss.

Art, for this video  no - it was in indoors at the great scale model train show in Timonium, MD. Now for the article, a lot of those photos were shot outdoors.

These photos give a better look at the entire traveling portion of the Spruce Coal & Timber Layout for those that have never before seen it in one operating piece with the mini attached.

First one is right before they opened the doors to let folks in

Notice a copy of Feb/March2014 O Gauge Railroading on the stand I made!
