Very entertaining video. The proprietors have obviously invested good resources into their train shop (plus). Thanks for sharing this with us.
Would love a shop like that near me!

I figure I would go broke if I did..what a great concept to keep the hobby alive.
Pretty neat.
Very nice!

That's the way to do it. Very impressive. We're really missing our LHS that closed last year.

Thanks for posting this. Trainworld+Disney= a train shop in Salt Lake City. Who knew?
Very innovative train shop. I hope they continue to be very successful and are around for a long time. Sure would be nice to have something like that locally, I'll have to drop a hint at my LHS later this week.
Great concept. Thanks for sharing the video! I hope these folks do well in their business. It's a great way to increase interest in a great hobby. Did I really say GREAT that many times?
Salt Lake City • The Train Shoppe
It is simple: WOW
I Like all the special back rooms, like the coin operated trains.
If you are ever in Salt Lake City - This is a must stop.
Very cool stuff......
Reminds me of when my brother and I tried to build our own version of Knott's Calico Mine Ride!!!
Worth a trip to Salt Lake City all by itself! Those folks have really put a whole lot of effort into supporting--and growing--the hobby. Toy Man does one heck of a good job with his innovative presentations.
After thinking about this place.....it reminded me of Entertrainment Junction in Ohio. It's a good hobby shop, huge interactive layout, a train themed play area, party room, snack bar and a fun house. So these two are different the overall concept seems viable when done well.
What a great way to promote the hobby to get the next 2 generations involved.
All the best to "The Train Shop". Way to go !!
franchise opportunity??
Great concept! Thanks for sharing. Now where did the company I work for just buy another company? Minnesota. Shucks. I'll have to pass the word on to the big cheese, next time buy a company in Salt Lake City. We will have to take an investigative trip.
That was awesome! Would love to see it in person. Thanks for posting.

Very nice operation. Here is their website.
To me the best hobby/train shop was MIZELL'S in Westminster, CO. A great place staffed by a bunch of the nicest people I ever met. Another great place is Caboose Hobbies in Denver.
Spent lots of money with both of them.
Thanks for posting!
This is a great Train Shoppe and about 15 minutes from my house. We're lucky to have it here in the Salt Lake valley.
Thanks for posting the video.
