It would be really cool if Lionel vision line came out with the Berkshire locomotive. Does anybody know what the future version line locomotives are going to be?

Don't know what it will be, but my first guess is expensive.
Doubtful we will see a visionline berk anytime soon if ever with the success of the standard legacy version in general. As long as they keep making small updates to detail tooling and branching out in different roads and road#'s. Unlikely we'll see that change. Although I'd never say never. I'd be a buyer. I think the visionline will stick to the vision niche.
What exactly could they add to the berk to make it a "Visionline"? They already have whistle steam, 4 chuffs per rev, very nice running gear, proper lighting, fan driven smoke, LCS triggers, ODYII and an outstanding level of detail. Aside from a swinging bell (bah), I don't see a lot of room for improvement.
When I look at the new Legacy Berkshire it looks like there is to exposed philips screws in the front under the lit number boards above the round boiler plate Is this my imagination or is this true?

There are visible philips screws on the VL stuff too. The new VL Niagara has 8 big ones on the drive rods.
VL has more to do with "whizz bang" stuff than detail.
NO MORE BERKSHIRES!!! Lionel has made them to death the over the last 10 years.
It would be nice to have a legacy Berkshire without exposed philips screws heads, I don’t have a single locomotive that has this issue. It’s like they have cheapened out on there new Berkshire models.
