Blackout, Congratulations with your purchase. Typically, your Gevo's intended service is in freight. However, it's your railroad, do what pleases you.
I think it should pull a big load of coal cars. Want a real big carbon footprint for that nice Mr. Gore!
The two previous replies aptly illustrate the absurdities of current notions found in Washington. Hedging against a bitter cold winter, I sent Mr. Gore a preemptive Seasonal gift, to no avail. Indeed, coal would be an appropriate commodity for your Gevo.
Blackout,
Cannot go wrong pulling double stacks

Actually that's a great idea. Nuclear is by FAR the safest form of large electrical generation.

And please let's not confuse weather (this winter) and climate (global warming.)

Safe? Nuclear Fusion, maybe. Still in experimental stage, but too expensive to deploy for now. Fission? Not really safe, I'd rather keep those atoms whole.
They are in the process of decommissioning the San Onofre station in SoCal when two recently replaced steam generators failed. (Which as an aside, is the same station whose "domes" reminded Lt. Frank Drebin of his ex-wife in the original Naked Gun movie)
Chris, your absolutely correct, weather should not be confused with climate change. My comment was meant as humor at the expense of an opportunist. Apparently, I failed to convey that nuance.
Nick, your also correct in that I do not work on the railroad. I work in the entertainment industry. Let me assure that stage hands are more than capable of vernacular that could make the most harden blush.
In short, I'm sorry if I have offended anyone, that certainly was not my intension.
