Is there a point when too much weight is on these tracks sold in 6 foot sections and screwed into studs.
I would imagine you would mix rolling stock and heavy O gauge engines.

For one six foot Glenn Snyder shelf, I have my Lionel Challenger and FEF3 on the shelf and another shelf holding a Lionel BNSF SD70, BN SD40 and SF SD40-2. The shelves are secured with one screw per stud spread across the entire six foot shelf equaling approximately four to five screws total. No washers or anchors but are ideal. As long as the screws and studs are evenly distributed on the shelf to support the weight, there should not be any issue.
