Walther's Route 66 Motel

What is the OUTPUT voltage of the 110V adaptor that powers the Cornerstone Walther's Route 66 Motel? I was told it is 4.5v but my 4.5v adaptor plug won't fit. My 12v output adaptor plug does fit but I am afraid to try it for fear of burning up all the motel signage. I have all of the parts for my motel except for the 12V adaptor that came with it.
