The LCCA has been posting a weekly hobby focused survey on its website. All LCCA members are invited to take this poll (this week poll #5 is presented). The results of prior polls are posted, and summary and the raw data of each poll taken are provided for review. This survey program has been well received, and hundreds of members have responded to questions and have reviewed the results. Join in the fun, learn a little about your hobby and what others are doing.
A few questions which were asked (and results posted) are:
- Do you have access to use of a Layout?
- Will I change the radius of curves on my next layout (or if I rebuild my current layout)? What will it be?
- Do you consider yourself a collector or an operator?
- How actively are you seeking new items?
- What Period of model trains do you enjoy most and spend most time with?
- If you were starting over today what model train era/period would you mostly purchase/collect?
- If you were to start purchasing model trains today what gauge would be your choice?
Want the answers and see the results? Just go to the link below and see for yourself. While there, take poll survey #5, and come back next week for the results.

This week we ask “How much time do you spent in a typical session where you work, run or play with trains? Take the poll, cast your answer, express your opinion and come back next week to see how you compare to your peers in the hobby. The club is putting together these series of questions to find out more about how we enjoy our hobby, what areas are of interest to our members and in what direction the club should be focusing on going forward.
We encourage feedback on what general and what specific questions could be asked in future weeks. Feel free to post questions on this thread – we will be sure to include them in upcoming surveys. Since all results are posted, do not include any comments which might individually identify yourself.
