I'm doing an ocean inlet that's approx 2'x4.'  And The water can have a depth of 2-3."  I want to do a nice, deep, choppy water scene.  Want to have below surface fish or sharks or whatever and boats on surface but realistic in that you can see the boats aren't just sitting on top of the water. What products do you recommend for creating depth via layers where I can add subsurface things and then a choppy surface?

Thanks.

I did choppy water on mine.

I made plaster swells which I painted green.  Then a layer of Liquitex Gloss Super Heavy Gel Medium.

Note - SUPER heavy.

Then I dusted it with white weathering powder.

I have a couple more photos if you would like to see them.

Yes, that would be great. It looks amazing!

Thanks, Peter.

Now I'll try to get these in some kind of order . . .

The one above shows the plaster smoothed out.   ↑

This one shows it without smoothing.  It seems to work just as well.  ↑

PE 75

Dry brushed with white (optional).

Now for the weathering powder.  ↓

It works just as well without the dry brushing.

I hope that makes some sense.
