The other day I decided to weather a couple water columns that I've had. These are made by MTH and don't look too bad imho. I sprayed themail bases with a concrete color and the columns themselveswith a grimy black and then added some streaking/stains with a dark earth color as it just seems to capture the look I'm after pretty well. After it dried I went over areas with a wash I made up with some color pigment in a dark rust color and alcohol.....no not that kind.
All in all I'm pretty happy with it, once I get these positioned on the layout I will go over them with some black and gray chalks to blend things in a bit more. I made a video of the process as well.
