I am almost done spraying my Atlas o track with some rustoleum came earth brown paint. I am now down to spraying the switches but I am not sure how to go about it. I have been wiping down the top rails with silicone spray so the paint easily wipes off and everything so far is so good. Anyone know how I should tackle this last task?

Exactly the same way. Lightly coat the top of the rails with your silicone. Stand back, aim at an angle, spray both sides. Flip the switch direction and spray again. The RustOleum Camo is a great color. You do not need to saturate everything. You are only try to dull the shiny bright flash of the side of the rails.
I rattle can my track, Atlas O 2 rail. I start with a small piece of painters tape over switch points. After that I hit all the frog areas on crossings and turnouts with black.
I then all hit the rest of track with rail brown color. I use leather or tan on some sun drenched sidings and branch lines down the middle of ties. For greasy and oily area I use gloss black. After that I gloss coat the greasy and oily areas, dull cote everything else. Then hit the track with sanding block. You will not be disappointed, it goes very fast, and it looks so realistic once ballast is added! Dry brush some white and gray in areas for high lights.

Bano. Do you plan on weathering your ties? I have previously laid my track and did the rail sides with the paint pens and it is OK although the color is not perfect. I thought about rattle canning with earth or brown camo like you but tried to weather the ties with acrylic dry brushing without the spray coat. What are your thoughts? Looking forward to your up dates. Inspiring to see all the projects going on.
