Weathering outside structures

I have just built a small dam for a river on my layout. I am looking for a way to tone down the crisp colors. Looking for suggestions, possibly a wash formula?

I do have an aztec air brush and looking for an excuse to use it for the first time.

Leave a stainless steel bad in vinegar for a couple of days, makes for great rust runs from the metal parts of you dam.

Apply Testors Dullcote first.

Dry brush it with some acrylic paints & powders.

Shouldn’t take more than 30 min.
