I'm sad to say I recall someone posting on Train Orders.com saying that Jerry had passed away, perhaps a month ago?

Ouch. That site is an incredible resource for research. Just checked it out now and it is indeed down.
I wonder what happened to the computer it was on. That site had so much data that I would hate to see it lost.
Just another affirmation of the ephemeral nature of things on the Internet, and in reality, things in general, as in "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow". A good reason to try and preserve/save/copy anything you are truly interested in.

Very happy to see that this resource has been preserved. I simply would like to say a very sincere thank you to J.M. Laboda for his years of stewardship of this site. His passing was a complete surprise. It would be nice to know more about him as I honestly took the site for granted. A very strong reminder to not taking anything for granted.
To the person who has saved this site a sincere thank you as well. The original site author's memory can now live on.
It was mentioned on FB that someone is talking with the executor of the estate trying to gain control of the website.
