Gotta get a few photos in before midnight with the same date as Jeff's post here!
Here's my HO gauge GG1, an older model but I can't remember who manufactured t Has DCC and decent sound, runs very smooth on the Apple Valley Model RR Cub layout in Hendersonville NC. A first class layout in the old SR Depot there. Definitely worth a trip if you are ever in the area.

C.Sam - Great pictures please post more in the future. Looks like your club has an terrific layout.
My friend Warren was in Chicago back in June, and bashed this building together for me out of the Walthers Northern Power kit. Over the last week, I finished the painting and weathering. This building sits behind where my engine terminal will be located, so once I get the smoke stack done, and the back track connection is made, I'll get the scenery done and work from the backdrop forward.
One of the things I love about Walthers building kits is they bash so well into long backdrop buildings. I bashed my milling complex out of a Red Wing Milling and the Concrete Grain Elevator about 18 months ago, and I had the truck unloading shed left over from that build. I told Warren that I didn't like the coal unloading as an uncovered hole. No problem, he "re-purposed" the structure, and raised it up to clear a 50 ton hopper car with a little styrene bashed into a concrete base.
Here is a poor photo showing the general area of the engine terminal, and the appx. location of the coal tower, and one of the fuel oil tanks.
The roundhouse was also assembled by Warren, while I was painting all the walls prior to assembly, and then did all the concete detail painting, and weathering.
I'm going to owe Warren a bunch of freight car weathering when I get up to Alberta next year to repay the horsepower-hours he put in on these buildings.
Regards,
Jerry
