I have a MTH 2-8-0 H9 that is currently painted for the ICRR. The engine is actually a model of a Western Maryland consolidation and I am going to repaint it into a WM scheme.
I am not really interested in the “Fireball” scheme, but rather the plain lettering as shown in the two photos I have included.
My question is: was the lettering and cab number, yellow or white?
I will be using either a K4 or Microscale alphabet set for the project…

Western Maryland lettering was gold in both scheme's. There are several color photos on the Fallen Flag's sight.

I belive the color is called Dulux gold, it is like a medium color yellow.

I bought the Tichy WM steam decal set and included the plain scheme lettering I needed. It worked well and I like the gold color…
