I repaired a missing ground strap between my transformers. Happy to say The NYTA Brighten Line is back in service.

NYTA??? You’re giving away your age, Bob I love the detailed girders in your elevated line - they really look like ones I used to see on elevated subway lines (a little rusty!!!). Be sure to hit Nathan’s when you get to Stillwell  Ave.

P.S. looks like spell check got you… Brighton

Nice video Bob, I know at some point I am going to have to get more heavy weight passenger cars, I bought 2 before our move and I haven't even opened the box yet! LOL I think I might have a line on 4 or 5 from a guy in the club I joined down here as I am the only guy that runs O gauge and he says he is done with O and plans on staying with HO, he said he got them free cause they don't have any trucks, if I can trade for labor on building his layout with him it would be a good deal. But I will help anyways!

Thanks Mike!

Hi thanks for your positive comments Mark and others. The open area of the layout is 5 x 7' and extends about 5 feet into the furnace room through on each of the three level tunnels It's tight, but I found that by going up actually a total of five levels I was able to get more into the small space.  there are some spots where trains pass within a quarter of inch of each other or obstacles.  Sometimes for kicks, I'll stand in the center and have the trains going all around me cheap thrills, actually not so cheap. Thanks for your interest. I will post a few more  Videos if anyone is interested. As you may have noticed the lower two levels are a circus theme, which I thought was appropriate since I lived near the Circus world museum, Baraboo Wisconsin. i've been working on this for over a year and probably only 50% done, many many details left undone at this point. Much to look forward to. if anyone is interested in talking Menards o gauge trains, I have had four engines and a number of rolling stock With mixed results. I'd love to talk to John Menard about his quality control but I really support his efforts at making these trains Reasonably priced and  readily available.  Sorry about the long ramble here…

Craig  nice video. You reminded me of a. Missed opportunity. During my working life I had Telco clients across the country and we would rotate meetings at their location. I Tried in vain for 2 years to have a July meeting at Ameritech so I could take a day and watch the circus train unload.

Hi guys it's not a lot but it's the best I could fo for not being in the train room for days! I got a couple sections of bench work up. Does not include road bed.

Everything in the corner has been moved. My plan is to do the perimeter of the room before I start on the peninsula

I hope your all doing well and finding time to have fun with your layouts and trains!

Congratulations on the official start of the actual layout!  February 11, 2025 is a day to remember!!!

In my small room, I had to keep moving stuff over and over again as I built, since I don't have space for an actual workshop or storage.

Thanks Mark and Jay, I know I will be moving stuff until I'm done with the bench work, once I am done with the road bed and laying track I will be able to move almost everything on top so I can do wiring.
