I picked this up for a guy recently.  I know it's K-Line, I know it's Southern Railway, I know it's a passenger train.  Beyond that, I can't find squat about it anywhere.  The cars aren't aluminum, but plastic.  The engine has transformer controlled forward, neutral and reverse.  The seller told me he bought it new, and I had no reason to doubt him, but if he did, I get the feeling he bought is a while back.  Anyway, any insight would be great.

LOL, you should've used "let me google that for you" or www.lmgtfy.com It's funny how I tried a ton of searches but never once entered "The Southerner", but then, I didn't know that was it's name.  And let me add: Holy sh@#! I wish I had it in the unwrapped box!  $350.00 last November on Ebay.  Thankfully, I only paid $40.00 and got 68 pieces of curved O27, 6 30" straights, 6 10" straights and the small transformer that came with the set.
