Hi Joe,

While there is no particular requirement for a specific glue for our kits I have personally found I like to use the gorilla super glue. This is different than their other glues that need water to activate. It is available at. Number of stores, including home depot and lowes. The glue is thicker so I find it does not run and has a good working time. It also has some "rubber" type properties that seem to help with holding a joint and deal with a jolt.

Again lots of good glues, I just like this one (they are also based in Cincinnati so in a small way local for me)

I kind of accidentally discovered Gorilla Super Glue and haven't looked back since.  Everything Rich mentions above about it is true.  It works more like the older super glues from years ago except there is a little more working time.  I have used it with just about every kind of material and it has worked on all of them.  Give it a try...I think you will be happy you did...

Unless they have changed the kit material to something other that urethane, I have always used ACC and a glue gun on almost all of the connections. ACC can make a brittle joint so I follow with a glue gun to prevent the joint from coming apart from contraction and expansion over a long period of time.

If you use an accelerator on the ACC with some clamps, assembly is very quick.

I forgot to thank you guys. I bought that Gorilla super glue. It really works. I'm scratch building an engine and a detail piece wouldn't stay on the side of the cab. I have several industrial glues and they all didn't work. The Gorilla fixed that. Just watch your fingers!! and there's not much time for readjusting.

I have since added hot melt to the critical corners inside the shell. It also serves to keep the LEDs inside the light holders, and keep the wires neat and safe.

Very good information.  I avoided the ACC glues, because these

buildings seem to take a lot, and ACC came in tiny tubes with a

big price, maybe relevant to N and Z scale structures. Will have

to see how this Gorilla Super Glue prices out.... must write it on

blackboard 100 times to remember for next shopping trip.  Have

not tried the hot glue trick, either, being, maybe unnecesarily,

leery of heat and plastic.
