From our tour of Lionel at the red carpet event a little over week ago we were told that the next Vision engine is going to be the UP BigBoy. Jon also told us that it will not be in a catalog this year and that it will ready to ship in early 2014.

The H-7 will be in this catalog.

I'm hoping for a cab forward and by Lionel's product videos a B & O GP-9 will have to be on my list.

All of the items below assume a level of detail that Lionel brought out with the JLC locomotives. I know I have posted this before, but the level of detail on the JLC locos and the Cab Forward which was NOT a JLC loco was astounding. If the locos below are produced as Vision/Legacy but do not have the level of detail of the JLC series, I may not bite. Stop with the cast in sand lines, PLEASE

1) Y6b   Of course !!

2) Allegheny

3) Cb Forward

David, what do you want the Legacy S2 to have that wasn't included in the last Lionel scale S2?

I have both of Lionel's scale S2's.  The first with a Pulmore motor, RS1, 4 Seuth smokers, real coal, #6200.  It's nice, but slippery.  The whistle cuts off quickly.  Swoosh.

The second has Odyssey, Pittman motor, traction tires, RS2.5 (or thereabouts), Elephant Ears, Better fan driven smoker, TMCC, pulls great, more detail, #6200.  Swoosh.

I just don't know what a third issue might have that would justify another $1000 plus.  Slightly better sounds, whistle steam?  #6200.  Still swoosh.

Unless the second issue is unavailable?

Steve

Steve,

Are they the scale F units or conventional classics?

Thanks,

Dave

They will be F-3's CC with Legacy and upgraded passenger cars. They are part of the Neil Young signature series.
