As most of you know I'm in the middle of tearing down my entire layout in order to start over. There was a post earlier today asking if your layout room was messy so I decided to post some photos of mine.

Looks OK to me :-)
You have a good excuse.
Spence I hope the authorities catch the no good so and so that vandalized your basement.....
I'm jealous. you can actually see some of the table top through the stuff!
OMG! What a mess. I think you should throw it all out in trash. BTW, what's your address, and when does the trash man come to pick it up?

Is that a radio built into the end table? What brand is it?
Spence - I couldn't do it, but to each his own.
When I was working as a young sales manager, I had a boss that was very tough and strict. Everything had to be spotless or else. He would check your office and your company car and if it wasn't kept clean you were in big trouble. I quit testing him and we got along fine and his influence has effected me ever since. He was just as tough about punctuality, but that is another story for another time. He was the best guy I ever worked for and made a man out of me.

Looks kind-of like an earthquake devastated city

It looks great!

If you can find what you need and you are having fun, then there is no problem. My train area has never been picture perfect on a normal basis. Actually looks pretty good considering you are doing a rebuild.
Speaks of great adventures ahead , to me.
It's a natural disaster! I'd apply for federal funding to rebuild.
In the mess race, you win.
Personally, I don't think I have the heart for such a bold undertaking. It looks like you have made a full recovery from last year's health issue.
We can rebuild it. We have the technology. We can make it better than it was. Better, stronger, faster. And it shouldn't cost anywhere near 6 million dollars.
Temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement.
Like jim sutter says Temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement.
Way to go Spence. Tonight I wash the floor and hopefully Sunday after the monthly Dupage Train Show I will complete the floor painting. Progress I know its taken me a long time but Progress.
A truly wonderful mess- congratulations! Looking forward to the rebuild pics too.
Waiting to see your rebuild!
