Alot of talk has been spent over the depleting load coal feature with mixed results on the Forum. A decision to buy will be based upon several other features as well and they appear to be winners. If I didn't already have a top line Big Boy, I would probably go for this Vision Line offering.

These are the features which most attract me:

1. 4 smoke units

2. new whistle steam

3. new blowdown steam

4. new DUAL STEREO SOUNDS with speakers in loco and tender

5. new dual smoke

I like very much all of these features and they give plenty of reason to buy this item. There is much more to consider than just the depleting coal load feature.

How many are excited by one or more of these other features. I especially am excited by the new sound system in stereo.

I am most excited about the sound and the whistle. I have the JLC Big Boy and it is great except for the incorrect whistle. The VisionLine will have much better sound and a proper whistle. And if anyone doubts how much difference the Dual sounds make just put a JLC Big Boy alongside a VisionLine Challenger. If you can't hear a noticeable difference then sound is not your thing.

Does anyone know if Lionel will include the inspection lights that these engines were equipped with in real life?  These lights can be scene in pictures of these engines in night time settings.  I believe that there are 4 of them on each side of the engine.

3 under the running boards and one under the cab.

If included they would make the model really stand out!  Especially if they could make them come on automatically when the model came to a stop.  Or if they could be turned on and off with the remote.
