So here is an odd request. I am looking to get a bunch of switches, audio plugs/receptacles (like the old telephone operators), rockers, pushbuttons, rotary dials or whatever. Specifications don't matter and I don't even care if they work!
We took my son to the Spy Museum in DC today and he just loved the mock up of the submarine. He spen't 20 minutes flipping all the different switches on the sub's control panel and we had to drag him away. How did they drive those things? So I would like to make him a panel with assorted switches that he can play with. One day we can be a sub, another a space ship.
I'd prefer they be cheap, like a grab bag or something, since I won't be hooking them up. Of course, once it is done I probably won't be able to resist trying to hook some wires to the trains...
