Where can I get some decent not too expensive artwork for my train-layout room walls?

Try an eBay search for "Railroad Pictures Framed". There are often very interesting items at quite reasonable prices.

If you live near somewhere railroad related you could take your own picture and goto a place like York Photo and they will print it up to 24" x 36" . You will need to take pics with the max pixtals your camera can. Then you can go to like Micheals that does framing or you can get what you need there to make your own frames

You can check the NS website.  Back in the diesel-palooza days of getting all the heritage units together they were giving posters away for $2 (+$10 shipping)

Try the All Posters site, search for train or railroad.  You can get them unframed at a reasonable price. They also have several versions of framed.

I have a bunch of stuff for you!  Bought several prints at a recent auction. There were several duplicates that I don't need. If you pay shipping/postage i think they would be very nice. The ones i had framed at hobby lobby look great.

Thanks for all of the photos. Unfortunately their scale is much too large for viewing. Is it possible to resend smaller sized pics? From what I can make out they would probably fill the bill quite nicely How large are they? Can you give me an idea of what shipping cost would be to zip code 18614? I have purchased several 7"x10" and 8"x12" metal signs from Ebay with train & RR related imagery.  These sizes fit well along the ceiling joists in my basement.  ChicoCreekSign & WallColor are 2 sellers that have many nice RR themed signs.  There are also many available for industries that were along my favorite RR CB&Q.  

Larger signs are also available from various sellers.  

Since these are metal signs, they do not require framing.
