Hi, I have not had to replace any of my existing DCS signal bulbs but I have had a couple out for a while.  I really like the originals I had installed around the layout and would like to match what's there.  Although, I'm not sure where they came from.  Does anybody have a source on these bulbs or a specification?  Would be nice to get something similar to what I have (they have about 4" pigtails), I'll attach a picture.

When I went to Radio Shack the guy had no idea.  If anybody has a seller link that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I am installing LED's wherever I can becuse the incandescent current use adds up.

I believe he's using the incandescent bulbs to enhance the DCS signal, so LED's aren't appropriate here.

I bought some 18 v bulbs from autolumination once and they were 24 v bulbs. I measured, tested, did everything and they were 24 v. They even had 24 v stamped on the shells. When I inquired about this, the answer I got was that some of their 18 v bulbs are in 24 v shells. Then I replied that these were in fact 24 v bulbs by test. The answer back was that was THEIR 18 v bulb and that's that. I had to pay to send them back.

Thankyou all for the responses, been checking out the websites and are some good sources (for more than just bulbs), actually I didn't even think about Scott's Odds and Ends...  I purchased all of my MTR signal relays from them years ago.  They had a petty cool 2002 OGR article on the "Magic Lamp" http://www.scottsodds-n-ends.c...Lamp%20for%20web.pdf  The colored magic lamps in the screw down base were reasonable, since i cant find find the pigtail type that I originally installed I will go with these magic lamps.

This is a good place to buy. I have made a number of orders to these folks and always been satisfied.
