This is a PCB from a Peter Witt Trolley.  There are three amber LED's (not shown) that vary in brightness with track current.

I want to add two Evans 3mm or 5mm overhead lights for constant illumination.   There are two possible locations to connect them.  I think the center and outside rails would be best but there are also the (+) and (-) motor terminals.  This trolley will be operated with a conventional transformer.

NOTE:  The ODT to JPG conversion removed some of the red lines.  Open the ODT if it isn't clear.

Thanks,

John

That won’t matter.  If you touch the pigtails of the Evan’s LED to you transformer you will see that they work  fine.  Most Evan’s LEDs are rated 7-19 volts.  Just make sure that the description doesn’t say otherwise.

I actually tried it and it seems fine.  If anything I may have to coat the 5mm LEDs I already have with some Tamiya Clear Orange to reduce the brightness or order 3mm ones.

Thanks,

John
