I'm working on a MTH RK streamlined passenger car and need to extend the wires from the trucks to the interior connection points.  I was going to use some telephone wire that I have but the wire on the trucks is much more flexible and the insulation seems more pliable.  What type of wire should I be looking for and where would I find it?

it's officially (generically) called "test lead wire."

Well... not really.  Actual test lead wire has a high voltage rubber insulation.  Superflex is a very common nomenclature for fine stranded wire, but not necessarily with the thick high voltage insulation.

If you search for test lead wire, you'll get much more expensive stuff, and thicker to boot.
