I've been trying to add graffiti to some cars I weathered, but every time I buy O gauge graffiti decals online they're absolutely horrific. They're basically see through and none of the colors show up on top of the fact they're the worst, thickest plastic that doesn't soften even with mircosol. Any suggestions on who makes good ones?

I often use H.O. scale to fit the area vs. O.
That makes sense, I've seen some O scale cars with grafitti up so high on the cars that it makes it look unrealistic. Real grafitti on a rail car isn't much higher than 6-7' off the ground leaving 2/3 of the car untouched. I don't think too many graffiti artist carry step ladders with them!

Now there’s and oxymoron….”good Graffiti.”
I’ve had some good luck with Microscale.
I’ve also liked some of the Blair Line, especially if they are laser cut.

I haven’t tried Circus City yet, but the graffiti selection is enormous (not much O specific, but I’m sure lots of HO and S Scale would be of appropriate size.
My girlfriend teaches art and graphic design. The box car was a special request (based on the real well car in Whitefish, MT). I think she did a great job her first time with this medium. "MOD" is the short hand for my company name, and we work in commercial audio, video, and acoustics hence the headphones. It's amazing what can be done by a skilled hand with a paint pen.
I don't encourage real graffiti, but can appreciate the difference between a simple "tag" and something which obviously requires planning and artistic skill. Some even avoid the reporting marks and other data with perplexing respect.
