After the download from the google apps store, I show a blank screen when pressing the middle screen. I believe from looking at the demos that this is a sound screen. I paid for the 4.99 version. Is that the latest? Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Try adding an engine and then look at that screen again.
Exit the app and restart it.
I did add an engine and was running with it. The other two screens seem to be okay. When I press the center screen for sound and light options the screen is blank. Any suggestions??
On the Apple App, I had to go to MORE, at the bottom of the screen, then upgrade, then restore a couple of times before the purchased App stuck. Not sure if Android is the same.
Did you do as I suggested? In another thread, MTH advised this is a known bug and is cured in forthcoming app release.

You suggested to exit the app and restart it. I guess that's what fixed it by powering down my tablet and restarting it. I tried a lot of things to get the sound/light screen to work. I guess I sort of lost track of what I did exactly. If this keeps happening, I will try the power down technique first. Also.............while we are on the subject of "bugs".....This is probably old news, but I stumbled on a couple more.
1) When you turn on the bell and decide to leave it ringing, pulling down the whistle or blowing the horn will turn off the bell.
2)On a diesel.....If you crank up the rpm's.....the revs increase, smoke fills the room as it should. But.....while this is going on, if you blow the horn, it lowers the rpm level which will also lower the smoke output.
3) Is there no way to run "all" engines at 1 time like you can from the dcs handheld?

Not in this version. That will be in the Pro version, later this year.
#1 is well known. Never heard of #2.
I've hit this bug several times on a Android device. The reboot cures it, and the sound menu comes back.
