Will PS2 work on 1 motor?

Hello,

I have little problem on a project, If I remove one motor(leave the one with the tach) will PS2 still work?

I think my steamer just has one motor, so I would think it would work fine.

I would take care to only use the loco to pull light trains, so as not to overheat the remaining motor. I believe the single motors in steamers are larger than one of the dual motors in a diesel or an R-K Challenger.
