Almost done with the train room and was going through some boxes, found this and was wondering if it will work with the DCS remote? I remember it went with that small skinny black remote with 3 buttons can't find that though. Also would this be able to work to send out the watchdog signal?

NO, that will NOT work with a DCS remote. That is the previous remote controlled conventional operation method.
Again, that is basically a remote control version of a Zcontroller and requires the matching IR remote.
Notice less buttons on this remote- again, this is the only remote that works with that lockon device.
ONLY the later https://mthtrains.com/50-1033 is the DCS version and then it can no longer control power for remote control conventional operation.
Notice the black base version, not a lockon but has the banana jack terminals, and the remote says DCS commander and has more buttons.
Vernon......that is my "poverty pack" DCS system (DCS Commander) that I use here in Australia.
Does everything I want it to do with my PS2 and PS3 locos, without all of the headaches/stress/frustrations of the full DSC TIU mumbo jumbo. Life is great in the Sunshine State (Queensland)
