Been following C Sams thread on SRR engines and pictures.  I did not see any of the SRR Mikado's listed.  Did they exist? If you southern guys can help me out with some info on this engine I would appreciate it very much.  It is a great looking model by Weaver.  Have not seen a picture of the model either.  But I have one, what have I got??

Regards

Tommy

The Southern Railway had Mikados out the wazoo; several classes. (Even a few "Duplex Mikados", with an engine under the tender.) All you need to do is search the InterWeb for "Southern Railway 2-8-2" or "Mikado" to find all sorts of photos.

The old Williams brass Mike was built by Samhongsa, and was often offered in an incorrect green color (the 4501 excursion Mike was green for a long time - wrong, but that's show biz); the SOU Mikes were black, though often fancied-up with striping.

I'm not sure where "Weaver" (you mentioned them) comes in.

Do a search; all kinds of data there.
