I have a late model Williams 44 tonner with tru blast. I am using a zw transformer on a small 5 by 8 layout with fasttrack. The bell on the loco intermittently will start ringing and the horn will occasionally give a short blast. I am not using the whistle controller, just controlling the speed and direction. What is happening and how can I stop the bell ringing and whistle blowing?

Dirty track, wheels or 3rd rail rollers can cause horns and bells to sound on their own. Give them all a good cleaning and see if that helps.
all of the above per iguanaman3. also, if you are pulling lighted passenger cars or caboose, etc try removing them or if not, add one. I have had both scenarios stop the intermittent horns and ringing.
Cleaned the wheels and rollers and the bell ringing is gone. Thanks for the suggestion!
