"Which one is more correct?"

FWIW, and this is not the acid test, but a Life-Like HO MP BL-2 appears to match or approximate the darker of the 2 blues, above. Of course, some simple Internet research on MP diesels/BL-2's should yield the answer.

Paint fades, and if the lighter blue Wms is incorrect, some basic and enjoyable weathering with Bragdon's dry pigments could yield a nice "dirty, faded, in service" look to it.

Color pics of the MOPAC BL-2 are hard to come by...but I do have the pics below.

Credit for the photos is Louis A. Marre from the book Missouri Pacific in Color Vol. 1 by Jim Boyd pages 54-55, Morning Sun Books, 2004 ISBN 1-58248-133-4

I also have some MOPAC Historical society and EMD builder book on he BL-2 for MOPAC.

You either love these or hate these...Being an O-27 Midwest kind of guy, I like them.

Thank you all for your input...keep it coming please!

Well, those colors appear to be all over the place. The lighter Wms looks suspiciously like the dirty real one at the top.

The BL-2 is just funky. I'm not a diesel guy, mostly, but these have always made me look. Not sure if in a good or bad way. I've almost bought one, more than once.

The rear (its best angle) has always had a streamlined steam locomotive look about it, to me. Oh, gosh, don't let me go down that rabbit hole.

I like 'em, bottom line.
