Are you talking about the bus or feeders?

IMO 14ga is ideal, especially for a command control layout.
My layout is powered by 14 ga buss and feeders. I have never had a voltage drop issue and I have just 4 pairs of feeders on each of my 10'x16' loops.
Wiring is the second most important part of a layout next to the track itself, do it right the first time and save yourself headaches later on.
ok i am planing on running 14ga wire from my transformer to the bus then from the bus to the track. so it should be fine then. ok thanks.
Interesting to note that 14 ga. solid wire will fit small terminals of BPC's (Block Power Controllers), used to distribute track power from TPC's to the tracks. . 14 ga stranded wire is a slightly larger diameter. Pictures are (2) BPC's distributing power from (2) TPC,s (Track Power Controllers) to (8) different tracks.
