This is my first track layout and would like some input on what gauge wire I should use. I will be running two conventional style post war engines on separate loops along with O22 switches and accessories such as coal and barrel loaders powered by a ZW transformer.
What is best to use for track power? O22 switches? Coal and Barrel loaders?
Any help is much appreciated...

I agree with you Dave, I like Dewey's advice. I will be stopping by my local stores to check out the cost on 14 gauge wire along with what is available in the lighter gauges. Thanks again for the advice.......
I bought rolls of the 16 gauge wire from OGR. I think the 14 is a bit too much.

You can get away with 16 but I like the 14, and I also run DCS.
Dewey gives good advise, especially when he talks about expansion, which sooner or late, every new guy does with his layout, if they have the space.
