I have an MTH 30-4094 John Deere RTR set. The locomotive smokes great but does not have an on/off switch. I want to put one in. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this or is it simply a matter of running the motor hot and smoke element hot through the slide switch? I have a SPDT slide switch and a port to install the switch in. I am just looking for advice on the wiring. Any help would be appreciated.

You sure, they claim there's a switch on the tender.
If you choose not to prime the unit with fluid, turn the
smoke unit switch located under the tender to the OFF
position.

I can't believe it! I didn't think to look under the tender for the on/off switch for the smoke unit. It is the only engine I have for which the switch is located there. Oh well - not the worst blunder I've made, but kinda funny!
