Use a straw or a small corrugated tube. Paint it silver or a color of your choice. They end up looking like a drain pipe.

Since I constructed the supports for my upper level using dowels and or 1x2 pine, I was able to drill a hole down through the support "trestle" and run wires through.

If you are using TMCC or Legacy and have track running underneath the elevated portion don't forget a ground loop to stop the signal from the elevated track from interfering with the signal on the base track.
