I had this wired with a Lionel IR Sensor but I am now trying to wire this  with the MTH ITAD, but am missing something .

Here is the directions for the Dallee flasher

Here are the directions for the MTH ITAD

I am trying to set this flasher up as shown in the section of the Dallee directions for "Wiring 3-Rail Track for Automatic Operation" substituting the ITAD for the insulated rail

On the ITAD there aew 5 terminals NO, NC, COM, AUX + and -. I have run AUX + and - to the 12v accessory output of the transformer. This leaves me the NO and the COM terminals to connect. (The NC is not used)

So where would the NO and COM wire connect to?

Hi Chris,

You run the AC common into the ITAD COM terminal.  You run a wire from the ITAD NO terminal to the DALLEE flasher Common (+) termial and to the crossbuck crossing flasher common (ground) terminal.  Check that the crossbuck common terminal is indeed common, usually its connected onto metal base with no wires, while other two terminals have wires. No damage done if misconnected other than wrong flashing.

The ITAD COM and NO terminals take place of insulated section and provide same circuit closure that train wheels provide from grounded common rail to the insulated rail.
