I have an X crossover comprised of four Ross O-72 tinplate crossovers.  Because you cannot cross connect Ross motors (really Z-Stuff motors), I had to design a simple two relay circuit so all four motors throw normal or reversed using one one SW button on the DCS remote.

If interested in schematic, I can post here.

Sam,

I'd like to see your circuit schematic.  Out of curiosity (I use TMCC), after you scroll to the route you want and press the button (thumbwheel?) on the DCS handheld, the 2 route switches align, correct?  What do the remaining 2 switches in the crossover do?  I'm assuming also that your switch motors are DZ-2500A's?  Are there any signals tripped by switch motors (gets complicated fast, doesn't it? )?

My own setup with a Curtis double crossover allows 1 button to throw 2 switches to do a cross over.  The second button aligns the other cross over path.  I don't believe a relay is needed.  With TMCC I can do the same two tasks using the CAB-1 remote.  "Normal" alignment is straight thru on both mainline tracks.

Thanks,

George

Hi George,

No mine are "stupid" Z Stuff motors.  I have mine wired so all 4 motors throw either Normal or Reversed, although you could seperate so only one crossover route throws and other remains un moved in X crossover configuration.  But from what I gathered from several RR signal forums on Yahoo, a prototype X crossover throws all four more or less at once.  So I followed the prototype so one handheld softkey makes all motors throw.

I will scann in schematic and post, assuming my all in one multipurpose printer will scan and transmit to my computer.

Well here is the schematic in all its glory.  If you need I can e-mail  the image to your address so you can enlarge it for clarity.  Study it and email me off line for details or clarification so we don't tie up board with back and forth messages.

4A and 4B represent one crossover path, and 6A and 6B is other path.
