Wiring Ross custom switches

Are you powering the switch from a separate source from your track?  If yes, you need to have the two power sources in phase and connect the commons together.

I'm building a layout with a WYE like this could I get someone to show me how it is wired and where insulting pins go the anti derail system (sorry very new here so a drawing would make more sense to me,

Sorry, I can try to draw up a more accurate diagram later but this is a rough one from Ross.  I have an O54 wye on my layout wired like this.  From the two inner common rails there are two things: 1. you need to isolate the rail, I did this by using insulated pins between the inside common rails and the track I attached to it.  2. You need two wire soldered to those insulated rails. 

Those two wires go the yellow and green wires of the DZ1000 switch machine.  Then wire as normal per the diagram.
